After nearly two decades of partnership with the Houston neighborhood, we are excited to take the next step in our journey together—by moving into the neighborhood!

Plans are underway for the construction of the Neighborhood Degree Center, a new community space where friendships are forged and our city is transformed.

The Neighborhood Degree Center is designed to be a hub of opportunity where neighbors can learn new skills, build relationships, and receive ongoing support. From educational workshops to community gatherings, this space will be dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and working toward a vibrant future for everyone in Visalia. It will also be the permanent home for all of Neighborhood Degree’s programming, from mentoring to leadership development and everything in between.

This space will include:

• An Educational Hub: Workshops, mentoring, and leadership development.

• Kinder to Career Pathway: Programs from kindergarten through college to prepare students for careers that lift families out of poverty.

• A Resource Center for Families: Job training, financial literacy, and access to community services in partnership with other organizations.

• A Community Space: A venue for family events, cultural celebrations, and peer support, fostering stronger social networks.
